I’ve just recently moved from XBMC/Kodi over to Plex and I’m amazed there are no screensaver options to do a photo screensaver?
My family used to love it when the photos in the collection would come up in a random fashion as the Kodi screensaver.

You could try making a slideshow as a mp4 video, not sure if Loop, speed, fade, etc will work
