PIA VPN and Plex

I know I can setup my NAS with PIA VPN in the network settings. This will put the enttire NAS on my Private Internet Access VPN. I still want to access Plex remotely though. What is the best option for this?

I’ve done that and used the guide I found here but it does not work. Plex still shows as unreachable externally.

UPDATE: looks like they updated this since the last time I tried it. It still has some things to setup that do not apply to my NAS setup but I will give it a look again.
