Pixelation in Plex for Windows

I am seeing pixelation / noise in “Plex for Windows” that does not happen on the “Plex Media Player”. Sometimes it’s green pixels and sometimes it’s small black lines, generally in the mid / lower right part of the screen when playing a blu ray backup.

This was driving me nuts troubleshooting it but I’m now certain that it’s an issue with “Plex for Windows” Version 1.29.1.1974-a65b3ef3

Plex Media Player Version 4.29.2 does not have this problem. Nor does VLC on this same PC.

Server Version 1.22.0.4163-d8c4875dd.

I am running the server and players on the same PC. I’m pretty sure this didn’t exist in earlier versions of “Plex for Windows” as I would have noticed it.

I unchecked “Use Hardware Decoding in settings - player - video” and this seems to have solved the issue.
