Since this comment was posted back in October it seems the platform update has not yet been released as I installed Plex this week on a new PS4 and Harmony remote still cannot navigate within the app but does fine elsewhere.

I too wish I could use my Harmony remote to work with Plex on PS4… It’s been months since we’ve been told it would work on the next update, still you have’nt rolled it yet. Is an update of the PS4 app still in the plans? Can we get an ETA so I stopped hoping for a Plex update notification on my PS4?

This was October 2016, we’re now in mid March 2017 - still no support for Harmony despite having a working prototype?

Hey so now that PS4 Pro is already here, can we expect a UHD or 4K videos now on plex app for PS4?

Hi @colotti, what kind of harmony remote do you have? I have the Logitech Harmony 700 and it’s working fine for me for a long time.
Any update on 4k support for PS4 Pro?

We have been having major issues with Sony’s platform updates. After PS4 Pro support was added the platform got extremely buggy to the point where we couldn’t even consider releasing an update based on them. They released an update last week which seems to be more stable than the ones before, we will try and get an update out based on that soon, but we are still talking sometime in May and that’s if we don’t run into another blocking bug in the new update.
I understand that’s not something you guys want to hear, but unfortunately, that’s all I got.

Hi was wondering if in a future update you could add a streaming setting for 1000 480p video setting I think it would work best in my situation.
Wish Plex Media Server had a custom encoder setting feature so I could optimize to my preferred bitrate.
Looking forward to better performance from future updates thanks for supporting the Playstation platform.

Sorry to bug you but can we get some more information on this?
Myself and a buddy are having major issues with Plex on the PS4, both paying members, both PS4 Pro owners and both of us have mid to low power servers, we also both have multiple local plex user accounts and one pin coded / passworded.
It takes upwards of 2 to 3 minutes for Plex to let us log in to it, despite the PS3 client working fine.
Should I disable “boost mode” on the PS4 Pro?
What can be done here? It’s quite bad ![]()

Plex App crashing ever since the last PS4 platform update. CE-34878-0 errors all day long. I’ve reverted back to using my chromecast but really want to continue using the PS4 app.

May is long gone now and still no update. Can you please update us on when we can expect this update?

So where are we with the update? It’s taking me 5-10 minutes logging into my server and sometimes having to reclaim it. CE-34878-0 errors day in and day out, slow performance and black screens when starting new streams is very, very frustrating.
