I have this weird issue that I can’t seem to figure out why it would behave like this.
I watch a TV Show with an episode I haven’t already watched and at the end when the episode credits play I would expect that I get the “Play next episode” selection. Well, it doesn’t.
Now, with the same episode that I just watched I play it again and fast forward to the end of the video to the end credits and now I have the “play next episode” selection.
The only difference is that the episode was marked as watched when it worked.
I’m wondering if this is related to a known android TV bug with the Fire TV
All of these items are in the continue watching completed all the way to the end but Plex is not recognizing they’re actually finished playing. They just get stuck in the continue watching row like that and the next episode never pops up
It sounds like your “Play next episode” won’t pop up for the same reason. Plex thinks that item isn’t finished playing yet
This bug seems to be getting progressively worse, so I hope what you’re seeing isn’t a prelude to what I get. It’s become quite a hassle to keep marking every episode as watched manually
Interesting but I never had this happen on my FireTV, in my case, the episodes are marked as watched without any issues. What I did notice is that the Home Screen and the “On deck” Section will take around 5-6 seconds to update which is also quite annoying (but might not be related) but wouldn’t really matter much if I could just use the “play next episode” feature after finishing it.
