1.13.5.5291 - Conversion Failed. The transcoder exited due to an error

I’m experiencing frequent transcoder crashes with various video media during both recording and playback. Any advice would be helpful. Plex Media Server Logs_2018-08-01_12-43-57.zip (5.0 MB)

I am having the same issue and have been for the last few Plex builds.

this is very annoying, im watching files on my local machine via plex and every 10 mins or so i get the same error Plex Media Server Logs_2018-08-03_18-05-27.zip (3.2 MB)

Uninstalled and Reinstalled and still the SAME.

How do we roll back an update? this has never happened in the last 8 or 9 months ive been using plex

Getting the same error this started since plex media server release 1.13.x Version 1.12.x was working fine. Plex Media Server Logs_2018-08-03_20-17-50.zip (3.1 MB)

All three of you that submitted logs have entries in the logs dealing with Transcoder errors that have been mentioned in several other forum threads all related to recent Windows 10 Updates from Microsoft.

Microsoft released several updates, one that caused the problem, a second one that fixed the problem, and a third one with other updates. Please ensure you have the below updates installed.

Please verify you have the following Windows Updates installed:
July 10, 2018 - KB4338819 (OS Build 17134.165) - which introduced the issue

July 16, 2018 - KB4345421 (OS Build 17134.167) - First fix

July 24, 2018 - KB4340917 (OS Build 17134.191) - Second update Microsoft released fixing issues
