Server Version#: 1.25.8.5663
Player Version#: Roku and Windows 10 Plex Web 4.77.3
I have no media myself, I stream all remotely from a friend who has a dedicated server. Never had a problem until two nights ago. I started getting this: Playback Error Not enough bandwidth for direct play of ths item. Required bandwidth is 15378kbps and only 8407kbps is available. It gives me the option to retry, play next, or stop.
Per speedtest.net my download speed is 314.30. My upload speed is 23.42. This is with everything that is usually connected still on and going. Now here’s the weird part: If I try to watch a new episode of of a TV show or an unwatched movie I get the above error and it won’t play no matter what. If I go back and watch an episode of the very same tv show that I have watched before it plays perfectly. I called Spectrum and they ran all their tests and checked everything and it was all good. I believe this will be a setting issue as the same thing happens whether it’s through Plex on the Roku or on my laptop. I’m no wiz with this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
There is another thread about this with multiple posts and logs that chickpea is investigating or attempting to. Don’t think the issue has been determined yet though.
