I’m on a Mac running current OS. I updated and Plex has been fine the last couple weeks. Both computer and Plex are fully updated. I tried to play something today and every movie or tv show I try to play it comes up with:

Playback Error: please check the permissions for this file

I’ve checked my folder path and everything seemed fine. I read some stuff online so I deleted my old movie folder and tried to add it again. Every time I go to my external HDD to add the folder none of the folders from that drive show up, but the media is all on there.

Not sure what’s going on. Any help would be welcomed.
