"Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost." On some files

I cannot figure out why - i have asked this in other sub-forums and was not able to get to the bottom of this. Any help appreciated.

Got the same issue I think.
It’s quite anoying. The media can be played on my laptop using the web player but not on my android TV box.

Here is what I’m seing that could cause the connection lost problem in my logs:

Erratum: I have the problem of lost connection whithout the Font error message.

anyone have any thoughts? would love at least a little information on what to look for in the logs

I started getting this today after an update to my Fire TV app. Another poster suggested lowering local video settings to 3m 720p and that seemed to work. Plex needs to fix this though.

Now I can’t get anything to play no matter what settings I try.

Yes getting the same. Is there a system outage?? Also getting alerts that my Plex server is unclaimed.

I retried today but no luck.
I’m attaching a detail debug log.
I don’t know why but plex server is killing the transcode Job (I think…) around line 630 of the log.

Hope it ca help figuring it out because I can’t watch anything on my anrdoid TV box.

I may have found the problem.
I deleted the custom URL in the network settings and I got my video to play.
Maybe try that if you face the same issue.

OK problem is back that was a bad lead…

Back to version 1.11.1.4768 I don’t have the problem.

Can Plex look for the regression here?

Starting to think it’s link to Android TV client software.
I made a hard reset on my Android TV box and installed back Plex but same issue.

Yep, I had this too with same error message; on nvidia shield, lastest build of app as of today. If I rewound, then the same time it stopped before would play normally. I didn’t think anything at the time. Was during birdman Blu-ray. I’ll grad logs next time it happens.
