Playback issues when sharing collection

recently purchased a plex pass to start sharing my library with family and have been testing out sharing options in order to not share my entire library.

remote sharing works when sharing the entire library or when a show is labelled (not season and not specific episode, only entire show file) and then I add this label to the user under “allow only”.

if I create a collection, it will never play, and only show the error

Are you adding the label to the collection too?

Yeah the collection is labelled. It’s actually the only thing I can label. The episodes have tags only. Can’t use those so I right click to add to collection.

I believe the TV Show or Movie needs to have the same sharing label applied as the collection for it to work.

Adding to a collection with Tags will not have any effect on what is shared.

For example I have a Batman collection with about 8 movies, but only the 2 animated movies appear in the collection for the shared label users
