Is there a way to share only items in a collection with another user?
If not, is there a way to create a new library from an existing collection so that that library can be shared?
Thanks

@OttoKerner Those links talk about labels and other restrictions, but I cannot seem to find how to limit to a collection explicitly.
These are the only methods available.
So you’ll have to get creative. Like for instance apply a filter “by collection” to the library.
Them multi-select the results and edit them. Thus adding a sharing label to all items at once.
These are global by media type. If I want users to have unrestricted access to some “Movie” libraries - the ones that actually contain movies. But, I want to limit access to my Home Video libraries based upon label. But there is no way of restricting these types of libraries. I already have 5 Movie libraries, 3 TV Libraries and 4 Home Movie libraries. I don’t want to create a dozen more to address the sharing of personal media.
Multi Select doesn’t work well when you have to scour hundreds (or thousands) of objects and select just the right objects to share. And then repeat it over and over for each user you want to share the objects with. It makes a lot more sense to be able to create and share a collection.
What I ended up doing was from my collection, select the first item, scroll to the last, hold shift and click the last to select them all. Then bulk edit to add a label (which oddly required my ad blocker to be disabled, otherwise the sharing option did not show up in the edit panel). Then shared that label with other users.
Its a kludge and hopefully plex makes this less painful in future releases.
