I have a couple of home videos on my Plex server which I was able to watch without issues weeks ago. Today (and some Plex server updates later) I’ve noticed that all Videos won’t play back anymore. I hear a stuttering sound, but got no picture at all.
The videos do have a bitrate of around 3.5 MBit/s, MP4 format.
Going deeper I recognized that the videos play well once I set the playback settings to limit the data rate to 3 MBit/s or deeper. Once I go higher than the original Video bitrate the playback does not work at all.
In the web client the playback works, but here I’m not even able to select a higher bitrate than the original one.
Being unable to playback any Videos once the bitrate in any IOS/Apple TV client is set to “Original” or even higher than the original Video bitrate sound to me like a serious bug. Any comments?
I’m using the latest server version 1.3.2.3112. I’m also experiencing serious problems to find my Server even in the local network. It takes several attempts for the IOS clients to connect. Looks really like Plex has been broken with the latest updates
