Don’t know where to find these specific logs… but…
So since the week of January 20th, I’ve started seeing playback randomly crash with the error of “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”
I’ve seen this happen remotely in another state, and locally on a Google TV Chromecast device lots over the past few weeks.
I originally thought it coincided with the HEVC transcoding I turned on, but I turned that off and have seen the error again since then.
I’m on unraid, transcoding to RAM (128GB of RAM).
Does anyone have any insight on this? It’s starting to drive me nuts!
Oh boy, no it is not, thankfully! I tracked it down to a GPU power-save script I had setup which wasn’t detecting Plex as actually using the GPU anymore so it was forcing the GPU into low-power state thus crashing playback. – I also had DVR recording issues too.

So this is interesting as i would of run a script like this at some point but its not there now. This also only started towards the end of march when i upgraded from 6.12 to 7.0 and at the same time upgraded everything as part of that process. I wounder if something is hiding in the background.
I feel like mine started at 7.0 too, perhaps the way the GPU is handled changed a bit but the ultimate issue was the GPU power-save script though, once I disabled that all my issues stopped completely, have been going strong ever since.
I dont have this script at all. Ive checked there isnt any custom scripts. removed drivers, installed etc.
I have this on 2 different servers. I feel like half my problems are also due to the buggy web player that looks to drop connections on transcoding changes
