I am running PMS on a MacMini and have about 300 Blu-Ray rips (.MKV) on a WD NAS. Everything is hardwired through a gigabit LAN but I cannot achieve smooth playback unless I restart my server right before I want to watch something. After I restart I get smooth direct play playback on all my devices (Apple TV, iPad and a Shield). If I do not restart then the films will freeze for about 5/10 seconds every few minutes. This has been going on for a long time and I’ve just tolerated it hoping that an update would eventually fix it but that has yet to happen. Any ideas about what may be going on?
