Player closes videos after a few seconds or minutes

Hey folks, new user here. Got my server set up and remote access enabled, and am now trying to play a favorite old TV show.

It’s varied, but Plex Player closes the episode and backs out to the series display after a short period of time. Currently it’s within seconds, but when the issue first started I’d get about 5 minutes at a time.

Weirdly, the Plex web app (and PlexAmp) don’t have this issue. I’d much rather use the app though. Any ideas what the disconnect is?

Are you experiencing the 1-minute playback restriction when using the mobile app in trial mode?
The mobile app’s aren’t free and will only play video up to 1 minute unless unlocked/activated.

Ah, that’s it. Plays fine now. Wish that had come up while I was Googling the problem. ^_^;
