Player wont play files

Hi
I have an issue connecting to plex on some devices. These were working correctly up until yesterday evening and I have tried several different things to resolve but it is still the same.
My plex server is running on my android box Nvidia Shield. The issue I am having is on 2 Fire TV sticks and on the Nvidia Shield itself. I can navigate through my files and connect to live tv and podcasts but when I try and play any video or music file I get the following error

plex

It works fine on my PC and phone both inside the network and externally.
I carried out the following to try and fix with no success;

  1. Checked each device was connected to the network and had internet. This is definitely correct as I can stream from other apps on the devices and browse my plex folders but won’t play files
  2. Checked Server was running
  3. Updated plex on each device.
  4. Updated Nvidia Shield
  5. Stopped and restarted server
  6. Restarted each device
  7. Uninstalled and reinstalled on each device
  8. I installed plex directly on a smart TV which has one of the fire sticks plugged into it and it worked on the TV but not on the fire stick

Anyone any idea what to try next

Good luck with trying to get any help here mate, complete waste of time.

Yeah a fairly poor reply, or lack of replies.

If anyone else does encounter this problem I did solve it. I checked and even though I had applied updates to the server it was still showing an older version than that i found online. No matter what I done I couldn’t get it to update to the latest version using the shield which is where the server is located. I downloaded the latest update from my PC and side loaded it the Shield and everything worked again.

I did this but still getting the same error
Seems like it only happens for HEVC on my side

Hi demha89 can you give me more details?

What is your server running on ? Shield?
How many clients have you connected and what are they PC. TV, Android box etc…? and are any videos working on any of them?
