I was trying to check out some of the free movies Plex offers and each time I’d watch for a bit and an advertisement would come up. After it finishes playing the advertisements, the movie returns to a zero timestamp and I have to manually fast forward to where I was last watching. I get that it’s ad supported, but not only do the ads come up really often, the fact that it returns me to the very beginning of the movie and I have to remember the timestamp at which I was at to return to makes this feature of Plex obnoxious. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the player on my TV or something else is going wrong. Anyone know how to fix this? My TV is a somewhat older Samsung Series 6.
I can’t really figure out which category this fits in, but most likely not the one I initially posted in. So I moved it here.
Which Plex player are you using? ( what type of device)
Well, not sure exactly what information you’d like. I mean, it’s on a Samsung Series 6. In the menu, only stuff I’ve found is it’s Plex for Samsung, Client Version 5.79.0, Platform Version 2.4. If that’s not the information you want, could you describe to me how to find it?
That’s what I was looking for. Thank you.
Basically the same thing happening here. Plays a ad then locks up. Restart what you are watching the same ad appears and locks up again. Ramp. Com completes the run but never switched to the next ad. Onn smart TV 7.16.5.9034-bc5ecfe29-plex
