Playlist is not playing one after the other

Playlists are still broken after client and server updates.

Player info:
NVidia Shield TV Pro
PLEX Player Version: 8.29.0.30180 Beta

Server Info:
Synology NAS
Plex Server Version: 1.25.3.5385

Playlist failed to play next item on 12 January, 2022 at about 17:00 if that information helps.

EDIT: Disregard this post. I tried a few more times and I couldn’t get playlists to play more than one item with the play or shuffle button. Leaving the post below for history

I tried a bit more fiddling around with the playlists:

The playlist seems to play another item on the list if you start the playlist with “Play” or “Shuffle”.

*The playlist will stop after 1 item is played if you select the item directly from the playlist. It ends with the “Just Played” screen and stays there. *

Last attempted versions:
Server is a Synology NAS. Plex Server version 1.25.3.5409
Player is a NVidia Shield Pro. Plex Player version 8.29.0.30247 beta

Any mod can check that ? It is relaly annying to not being able to hit “next” on tv shows because of this bug 


Apparently no one from Plex monitors these posts. I tried several times to get a response from a mod and so far have not received ONE response! Keep up the good work Plex!

Can we have a mod or anyone from the plex team taking a look at this bug ? its been more than 2 months already and still no fix and im being afraid that we cant really hope to have a fix for this bug if no one from the plex team doesnt even take a look at this thread

If this is the new norm then it really makes creating play lists obsolete going forward.

I hope that isn’t the case but if it is then they need to change the name of this function from “Playlist” to “List”.

Seems like a pretty long time for a simple fix if you ask me:)

Is anyone else seeing this as starting an episode in a show and the next episode doesn’t autoplay on completion? I think this is the same issue and i’m seeing it only on nvidia shield

Yes, that is part of the problem.

I don’t think anyone a Plex cares about any of this. They haven’t responded to this thread at all and it’s been up for weeks now.

Just wanted to add that I have been having this issue on our Fire Tv’s for a couple of weeks now.

PLex hasn’t responded to this post since it started. They clearly don’t seem to care. I have a YouTube friend that may do a video on this issue and how Plex refuses to even acknowledge any of this issue. I even wonder if they ever look at this site at all. What good is a forum if no one keeps after it. Such a shame

Really hoping for a fix on this issue.

I do not encounter this problem when I use playlists on my iPad.
