Same issue for me and has been for a year since I bought the Plex Pass. Upgraded the server OS, Plex server, phone, and app many different times since then and have never had this feature working for me since day 1.
To be able to download playlists and have offline music was the sole reason I subscribed to Plex Pass in the first place.

@elan Any chance you could give us an update on this issue? It’s been open a very long time. Can we get a fix so we can download our playlists?

In the meantime, have you checked out Plexamp? Doesn’t allow you to sync your entire library, but does allow offline access.

Same problem here!
Using an iPhone 7 with a Synology NAS (both on the latest versions) I can get the contents of my playlists synced over (music, artists, etc.), but the playlists themselves won’t sync, and my playlist tab is empty.
Really not a fan of Plexamp, as I find the controls janky, and I can’t even open up my downloaded playlists (they just shuffle) which i think is a complete oversight.
Just bought the Plex Pass a couple of minutes ago, and i’m considering switching to iTunes Match already…
I hope this gets fixed soon, but it seems people have been hoping a while now.

Also, based on elan’s suggestions, I did download Plexamp to give it a try. For music, appears to download playlists for offline access. This might be a good workaround. Let me use it and see how it goes.

So when will the playlist problem be remedied. We have only be waiting for 12-18 months. This is one of the reasons that I purchased Plex Pass. Also why don’t we ever see a response from the support team. It would appear that they just ignore problems reported in this forum.

Still an issue, and has been since May 2020. Literally the only reason why I dropped money on a plex pass was to play my own stuff offline.
Can we PLEASE get an update that works? Its been long enough, quit treating your paying users this way.

As a workaround, I have been successfully using Plexamp for the past month. I’d definitely recommend if you are like me and you want to sync your music playlists for offline usage. Since the Plex Player use to support offline playlists, it would be nice to get that feature restored.

Well thanks for nothing Plex Support. There is still no news on the missing Sync’d Playlists. As an organisation you are rude and obnoxious. If you are not going to provide this feature then just say so, don’t be rude and ignore your customers.
I just updated to the latest versions of Plex everywhere, and now there are no playlist option on my IOS apps. I have just had a look at Plexamp, and it not worth using. Time to reassess how I manage my multimedia.

Elan, you expect me to answer your question to me about PlexAmp, and you still have not provided any feedback on the missing Sync’d Playlists. That is unbelievable. Not even an apology for them being removed or missing, or an explanation as to why they are not being provided, yet you expect me to tell you why Plexamp is not worth using. Once I get some feedback on the missing Playlists, then I will consider providing you my reason for why PlexAmp is not worth using.

I started to love Plex and when i realised posibility to sync my music to iPhone, I decided to pay for it although its free on Apple Music app. Plex iOs app player looks also better.
But my happiness ended after sync:
Missing waveforms although all tracks on my server are analysed and I see waveforms for music on my server in same PlexAmp app. Why they aren’t synced? I dont need them at home. At home i use PC not iPhone. I need them outside on offline data + why they aren’t in PC app when you have data for them?
MISSING ALL PLAYLISTS - WHY??? This app has to be for power users who have perfectly organised data and your programmers broked playlist (seem like year ago?)

When you sort music by the Track, you CAN’T Filter by Genre
When you sort music by the Album you can sort by Genre?
Why are ID3 filtering options missing in prefered Tracks view?
PS 2: Please let us SEARCH not only in title, but also in ID3s, please. ID3 Genre, ID3 Comment and ID3 Rating - i cant filter DNB style of music from whole collection in other way + ID3 COMMENTS are so important (Pioneer Rekordbox use tham as main place for track sorting info)
PS 3: Why arent downloaded tracks playable from same place in menu, and we have to duplicate all pins? Try Spotify offline downloading. Why not to copy it - same place in menu: at home play from server / outside from local iphone copy. So easy
