Playlists - Move to Top

Feature: Move to Top

  • When managing playlists it would be nice to be able to move an item all the way to the top of the list instead of having to drag them individually.

  • Adding a bunch of songs/movies to the top of an existing large playlist takes forever because you have to drag each item to the top. Or if you’re using an app you have to click the up arrow over and over and over.

  • You are already using this feature in the conversion queue, it just makes sense to have it on playlists.

Where:

  • Plex-web: up-arrow on hover - when editing playlists, on hover of an item (song/movie/etc) you already have things appear (move handle, play button, the multi-selection dot and remove X). You could add it there and have an up arrow appear on hover, there seems to be plenty of room.

  • Plex-Apps: add to menu - just add it to the drop-down menu for items in the playlist, or maybe if you hold the UP arrow on a remote it moves it to the top.

Thanks in advance for considering this request :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m out of votes, otherwise I’d add mine. I’ve wanted this feature for years!

Yes, please add this. This is a must have!!!

When I add say 5 new songs to a playliste already containing 150 songs they get added last. That is fine. However - if I want these 5 new songs to be first on the playlist I have to drag them - one at a time - to the top.

That is VERY frustrating.
It would be nice if I could at least drag all 5 new songs at the same time. And even better if I could drag all 5 song together and with my mouse scroll to the top of the playlist.

As it is now I have to drag the songs individually to the top of my screen. THEN scroll further up the playlist and then drag the song individually again… scroll further… drag some more… and so on.

Editing playlist on the PC is very tedious. Please do something
