Please Don’t Bring iOS Navigation to tvOS

The navigation change that has recently rolled out on iOS where library sections of the same type are buried within categories has not been a good choice by Plex. I hope some consideration has been made so that this doesn’t end up coming to the tvOS app as well.

Users have created separate library sections for a reason. If we wanted one TV section, that’s what we would’ve done. The navigation style we currently have with the row of icons on the main screen and the sidebar works great and there is no need to change it. Usability should be more important than adhering to some new UI direction, especially when many users don’t like it.

Its rolled out this way on iOS app, and WebOS app. In time, its likely to roll out everywhere. You get used to it. Its important to a brand and users to have a unified experience.

I like the new method.
