Please give us a better metadata for private videos

I think the agents work pretty good for movies or tv shows but the personal media agents is not good enough in metadata management.
I know you can add tag the mp4 files but it adds only a couple of tags to the videos. And if you have to do the plex dance many manual added informations will be deleted.

Please give us a structured configuration file (similar to .plexignore) where we can add metadata and tell Plex to look for this source. Something like this:

I think .nfo files (unsupported) is what you’re asking for

Thanks for the hint.
I thought Plex is gonna drop the plugin support in the near future? I’m aware of the .nfo support but I wasn’t sure how long it will keep up working. :slight_smile:

I don’t know, but they’re going in the opposite direction of what you’re asking, so don’t hold your breath :frowning:
