I’m in a bad predicament here. Someone created a plex account complete with a password and everything and used my credit card info and everything. I do not evenknow what plex is.
This company has no phone number I can call, and the closest thing I’ve even seen to a customer support system is a web of links and a community forum.
Is there anything I can do to avoid paying 40$ a year for a service I’m neither aware of nor able to access?
I think you should contact your credit card company as they will be able to solve any fraud problems.

@withoutconsent If someone has used your credit card without your knowledge, the first thing you should do is contact your credit card company. They should be alerted to any fraud so that if the card is used again you will not be on the hook. They will handle any charges that are fraudulent a long with getting your money back to your account.
Feel free to contact Plex about a refund, but if charges continue and you aren’t prompt about informing the bank/credit card company they may hold you liable.
