Please help. Plex media server uninstalled itself during a update, and I cant for the life of me reinstall it

I wasnā€™t really trying to offend anyone here. I was affected by this particular problem too and after all the Android problems and dysfunctional DVR issues for the past 3 years, I finally decided to make the permanent switch to the alternative that I had been running in parallel for a while. If you donā€™t think that that is appropriate in this forum, itā€™s not my place to disagree with you.

Now Iā€™m having an issue with my libraries rescanning. Nothing happens. If I add an additional source it starts scanning that new folder, but it will not rescan the original folder.

Edit: Restarting PMS seemed to fix it. Magic.

Did I miss Plex staffā€™s comment on this, or any attempt whatsoever to help people after their botched update uninstalled many, many peopleā€™s servers?

Or did they just pretend it didnā€™t happen and leave their customers to fend for themselves?

I didnā€™t see a post though I could have missed it. I see they pulled the release and updated the release notes to indicate there was an issue but that was all.

You didnā€™t offend me and Iā€™m sorry if my reply came off rude; I just donā€™t see how your post was helping anyone and youā€™re not the first to come into the Plex forums to proudly announce that youā€™re leaving.

If you want to go, thatā€™s your choice, but thereā€™s no benefit to letting everyone here know and it doesnā€™t do anything to help address the problem in this thread.

I have this issue, but I do not have the version 5000 in the Updates folder. Anyone got a copy of the update they can share so that I can Repair my install?

I lost my server. Solution indicated above did not work for me. Restore point did not work for me.

Uninstalled everything and installed v1.33.0.2444-a220eae4-x86_64.exe on win10. No wizard pops up to import or create a server.

My Home Screen is empty.

Any help is appreciated.

I have tried uninstalling Plex and installing a new version, which seems to install successfully until you try to launch it. When I try to access Plex via browser, I get a blank white window that never loads. The server is just hung. Anyone here to help?
