I just got a second My Cloud Home and hooked it up to Plex. Great, worked just fine and I could switch between the two servers no prob. For about two days. Now, the Plex web app can’t connect to either one! But the smart tv plex app will connect to the original one. Plex has been enabled op both My Cloud Homes. I have rebooted, turned off and on, deleted and re-installed, enabled and disabled remote access, and searched forums here and online all to no avail. I’m seriously close to tears, so please help if you can.
I take it you’re trying to access both servers through http://app.plex.tv/desktop?
Can you still access the servers ok through their respective local IP addresses (http://[wd cycloid ip-address]:32400/web)?
Could be the two servers don’t like sharing remote access in which case you might want to give each of them their own “personal” port forward in your router (e.g. external port 32410 routing to NAS 1, external port 32420 routing to NAS 2).
Yes, I can access both from my PC, WD access, and the My Cloud Home website. Just not through plex, except for the original one with my smart TV but not plex.tv web. Why would it stop working after two days?
