I totally understand your need (greed) in having advertisements in the news feed and web shows. But the volume imbalance between the programming and ads is totally outrageous. To the point of not watching any ads or using these features. There was a law (now ignored) limiting the volume changes in broadcast programming and the advertisements. I know you can equalize the volume, technically but will you enforce it? How do your users feel about the volume imbalnce? Speak up now or have your mute button handy.
I may be wrong, but isn’t the news feed based on third party RSS lists, meaning that the ads are in no way controlled by Plex? They don’t dictate what is played, including the ads. This content would be dynamic and streamed from third party servers, making it extremely difficult to analyze and normalize the audio.
