Plex 1.4.1 on CentOS broke subtitles in Samsung APP

With the new update subtitles are not loading anymore. See the subject.

Log files please? (settings - server - help - download logs)

Also be aware… 1.4.1 will be deprecated (and deleted) shortly. It has an installation problem (among others).

Here are the logs.

thanks for the logs.

May I see the XML for the movie? If the subtitles are sidecar (external), may I see a listing of the file names? I see it pick up the English subtitles for the foreign film so do not believe it to be there.

Did you have an update to the Samsung App? Another user is having similar Samsung issues

Also, please confirm for me all works as you expect when you back down to the Public version of PMS?

I tried movies that worked yesterday, but after the update it doesn’t. There was no update for the Samsung app.

Is there any option to downgrade the Plex until you find the solution?

Confirmed on 1.4.1

Subs stopped working on Samsung KS8000

Thanks for the effort. Do you know when the patch is coming out?

By the way I have KS7080 Samsung TV.

I’m sure a new version will come soon enough. The subs problem is happening only on Plex on Samsung Tizen-based TVs (2016). It doesn’t happen on the old Smart Hub version (the one Orca develops).

I’ve done additional checking. There is a new preference for subtitles on/off and better integration with https://plex.tv/users/profile

This integration was to allow managed users to have their own set of subtitle settings.

Please check and get back to me?

This does not solve the problem. The problem does not happen in the previous PMS version. Only on v1.4.1

Confirmed on Version 1.4.1.3362
Samsung 2016 KU7350 (3.0.6)

This doesn’t solve the problem.

Confirm, doesn’t solve the problem for me either. I have the 1.4.1 server on a Synology NAS and the Samsung Tizen client on a KS9000 telly, subs stopped working since updating the server to 1.4.1 .

“CentOS” should be removed from the title - the issue appears also with the Synology NAS server version, which probably means it affects all 1.4.1 versions

Update to v1.4.2. For me the issue is fixed on Samsung TV.

v1.4.2 still have same issue subtitle not shown any more !!!
