Is it just me or this update made the app worse? I’m a plex pass subscriber and now I can’t change the language in the bracket so I can search subtitles for other languages, please reply

I’m having “playback error” on most titles. Useless!
The thing that bothers me is that no one cares, we pay for Plex pass, we don’t have a support email, we got to do it here and I particularly don’t receive any reply by anyone responsible, I Direct Message a couple and I got 0 feedback. My only problem is that first the quality now is blocked to the original, you can’t upscale it to 20mgb, secondly the substitles one, I have the app in my native Language (Portuguese), and the subtitles bracket is blocked with English, I want to have subtitles with my own language and I can’t
Same here, ability to change language when seeking sutitles is gone after latest update.
Also, lot of menu items are invisible (blacked out) when selected…
I did that and in fact it solved it, but now I’m facing another issue. I try to download subtitled and I get the error"failed to download subtitles", in every subtitle. Can you help?
Hi - I really dont like the latest player & would like to revert to previous, but dont understand your instructions - where is this sidebar & could you post a picture please?
- I dont like the sideways scrolling layout, MUCH prefer tiled within the screen
- I used to see my ‘on deck’ on loading the app, now it takes me 5 clicks to get to the same view, and this seems because of hard-sell type advertising for Plex’s own content

I have the same issue with “Playback Error”. I know it is the Plex App on the Samsung TV, because I can play all titles on my own Plex server from iPad, iPhone, Amazon Fire TV and a computer. But on both of the Samsung Tvs I have not one title will play. All I get is the Playback Error.
I was connected to two servers before the update on Samsung 7 series. One server is no longer available and the other will not allow me to see movies. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. I am also a PlexPass subscriber with little or no assistance.
The only issue I’ve noticed is a really small one but the clock that showed the exact time that the thing you’re watching will finish has disappeared. I really liked that for some reason. Any plans for it to return?
I cam here to report the same thing. The subtitles option isn’t working properly. I opted out of the new player and it’s not working again. Whew!
Samsung Q6FN and everything was working great until the new app. Then TV shows over 1/2 an hour go to buffering around the -2:00 mark from the end, then go to Playback Error.
I’m just grateful we’re able to revert to the old app. Hope this one gets fixed soon.

I went to my Username from the home screen and hit “Leave Early Access.”
This version it’s the best in years!
The only drawback (yet) is that subtitles disappear out of blue at random parts of the video (any video…). Sometimes going back some seconds and playing again circunvents the problem, but of course it’s annoying. Sometimes this trick does not work.
In the previous version it disappears only at the very end.
