Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200
Player Version#: LG WebOS 3.5 5.4.0
PLEX does not run on HU70LA projector using WebOS 3.5.
It was working normally about a week ago, but since when?
The message “Unable to load. The server’s certificate is not trusted. Please contact the content provider, error code - 202” is displayed.
Following the advice in the document above, I took steps such as disabling the router’s security function, factory resetting the projector and reinstalling the app, disabling IPv6 settings, and changing DNS, but there was no response at all.
Additionally, connecting to a mobile hotspot does not change the symptoms. I thought there was a problem with PLEX and wanted to report it, but there was no way to report it on the website, so I posted it like this.
Works normally on all devices other than WebOS 3.5 (LG HU70LA projector).

<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
I’ve had the same problem since yesterday. I haven’t changed anything and now Plex no longer starts on my projector. All other LG TVs work perfectly. I have already tried everything like reset, network reset etc. Please help
I’ve got the same problem on my LG OLED C7V with WebOS 3.5 since yesterday.
I tried everyting but still the error -202.
Plex Server Version 1.41.3.9232
WebOS version 3.9.0-62709
Hi,
I thought I’m alone with this problem. Since yesterday this is happening on my LG B7D. Not sure but it says software version 6.00.25.
Haven’t changed my setup. Tried changing region settings, reinstalling Plex app, connecting via mobile hotspot, checked time settings and multiple power cycles.
When I visit app.plex.tv with the internal browser it gives an SSL error I can confirm, I think this might be the issue.
I have attached a picture of the 202 error. Says:
LOADING NOT POSSIBLE(-202)
Server certificate is not trustworthy.
Please contact the content provider.
DNS rebinding is often a cause of issues due to the way the secure certificate work.
Looks like the OP has tried changing DNS in router or disabled their ISPs “security” have any of you others tried the same?
We could not reproduce on our sets with WebOS 3.5 so wondering if possibly a regional thing. Seems like most of you are in Europe besides the OP in Korea. Which ISPs do you have?
I’ve had a problem for a few days with an LG projector.
Everything was working fine until one day I tried to open plex application on my LG videoprojector and it wouldn’t open.
It gives me “error code -202”.
With the following text: “unable to load, server certificate cannot be approved. contact content provider”.
your modem is in your home and which is owned by your ISP which may have security on it and their DNS could be cuasing rebinding. The way to bypass DNS provided by ISP is to change your DNS in your router. to something like Google’s or Cloudflare’s
probably from your ISP’s website or the manual for it.
Which has “security” did you try turning it off. or changing DNS?
I’ve already provided ideas but no one except the OP seems willing to try them. They may not work but I need to rule them out.
Unfortunately there is no way to enable logging from the app since it won’t start up
Few of my users (using Samsung & LG TV apps) have been having trouble connecting to my server since I changed internet providers (Sky to Virgin). One of the 1st thing I did when I changed over was disable the built in Online Security (Virus protection & Parental controls). I’m going to be kicking myself if disabling these settings off the bat has caused all the issues I’ve been having! I’ve reset almost every device Plex is on at least 2-3 times now trying to figure this out Ill have to test tomorrow because its late where I am now, But hopefully this solution solves my issues for remote users!
@BigWheel: That is not correct. When i use a direct connection to my modem (i can not change anything in the modem seetings, only the internet provider can change something), then i have no possibilitys to change anything! Then its a job for my internet provider!
And on the other hand: all (3) other LG TVs in my home working correctly with the same network!
I keep mine in bridge mode which doesn’t let me use xFi Advanced Security. Also for added information I’m using Plex on an LG HU85LA, my Vava 4k is able to run Plex fine
I seem to be having the same issue, everything has been working fine for years but about 2 days ago it just stopped working, displaying the same -202 error as others describe above. Third party app (Xplay) works fine, as does all other devices on the same network.
