Plex account hacked

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#:3.83.1

Last night my account was hijacked. I was notified by email that someone had changed the email registered to my account. I was given the option to revert the changes and so i did. I also immediately changed the password to my account.

I found out someone had tried to buy a lifetime membership through my user, which was denied.

Now I have a range of issues. Whenever I try to access my server through the Plex Media Server icon in the system tray (bottom right corner in windows) like i use to, I’m asked to sign in to 1 of 7 users that I do not know why or how got there. My user isn’t one of them. The only way to access the server is through the web app on app.plex.tv. There it shows my server as “indirect”. What does that mean, and why is this happening?

I’ve tried to delete and reinstall plex media player, and plex media server on the computer, deleted the registry entry for plex and that local content folder. But after reinstalling, the same issue appears when i try to open the server via the system tray icon. Only web app will let me access the server. How do I remove those foreign user id’s?

I’m really bummed out over this, I’ve cancelled my plex pass subscription in fear of something else being wrong. I just want everything to go back to working as it used to xD I’ve tried to read on the forums and look for answers, but there’s just to much noise information to sift through, and none of them are similar to my issues. So I’m hoping this post can shed some light on the matter and help me out.

If you don’t get a response here in the next 48 hours, try this form https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing leaving Billing selected
