Plex Adding Year to Movie Title When Year Already Present

I have named my movies according to Plex’s naming convention of Title (Year). I have also assigned the same value to the file’s metadata title property. However when browsing the Movies folder via DLNA, the titles appear as Title (Year) (Year Assigned By Plex). So if I had Batman Begins (2015) as the set name the title instead shows as Batman Begins (2015) (2015).

How can I correct this?

Either remove the embedded metadata tag (or disable Plex from preferring it)… or drop the release year from the embedded title. There’s a separate metadata attribute representing the release year/date.

My movies are all named like this:

Batman Begins (2015) - {edition-Theatrical Relase}.mkv
Batman Begins (2015) - {edition-Director’s Cut}.mkv

etc.

I use IMDB as far as finding out the year release of the movie and use that as gospel. Matches work really well automatically as I have done that.
