In addition to all that:
TV shows that were made for commercial TV were paced with natural break points where ads would be inserted. All these streaming services that inject ads aren’t respecting those break points, so ads can interrupt the show in the middle of a scene, even interrupting dialog in mid-sentence. I wrote off ad-supported streaming services years ago because of that alone. If it’s also being abused with excessive numbers of breaks, and excessive numbers of ads, and no volume normalization, I see no reason to give Plex’s version a chance at all.
