It wants to match it as 9/11: I Was There. But that is a different movie.
I see them both in TMDB
I can not figure out how to make it search TMDB. Instead of the Plex Media agent. I have tried this in both the Mac client and the web client. neither let’s me have it search TMDB.
Is there a way I can add the movie to whatever source the Plex Media agent is using these days? Or how do I force it to use TMDB as the source instead of Plex Media?
Plex is building its own set of metadata from various sources. If TMDb is e.g. having a reference to an IMDb record, Plex will use that information to link the two.
Meaning: once this is fixed on IMDb, we need to fix the reference on TMDb too.
oh I see. both of TBMD entries linked to the IMDB entry. ok. so I fixed that. hopefully everything will sync up soonish. and Plex’s stuff will update soon.
thanks for the help.
I was hoping I could just force it to point to TMDB and ignore whatever the Plex was trying to do with their meta data aggregation. but oh well.
I stumbled across how to switch your library away from the Plex source data. If you go into Manage Library → Edit go to advanced tab. You can change the agent there.
Keep in mind those legacy agents are no longer updated and will probably go away at some point. They should have the same update cycle as the new agent.
