Plex Agent Settings are not being saved

I go into the settings for say “Plex Movie Settings” I change the default setting for “Cast List Source” to IMDB and click save. It refreshes the pop up window and it’s defaulted back to The Movie Database.

Server Version 1.12.3.4973

Extreme measure:

Same issue here…but it seems to be a Chrome “bug”…if I open the PMS page in InternetExplorer it works as expected.

Try one of the following:

Restore Database: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202485658-Restore-a-Database-Backed-Up-via-Scheduled-Tasks-

These articles are out of date or just don’t apply to my QNAP installation.

They are not out of date, you simply need to follow the instructions given for Linux. SSH into your NAS and copy the database file to your PC/Mac and repair it following the instructions given in the first link. Then copy it back to the NAS.

The second link shows how to copy and replace the relevant backed up database files and what files need to be deleted etc. Again, you need to SSH into your NAS in order to achieve that.

See The QNAP FAQ"s page in the QNAP forum for details on how to use SSH.

You can also follow the instructions posted by OttoKerner, but again, you need to SSH into the NAS in order to perform those steps.

To Note: I did SSH into the box but it would seem that the first command in the set:

"sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db “PRAGMA integrity_check”

Is not a valid command for this flavor of linux OR the command can’t be found.

That is why you need to install a SQLite database/tool of some description on your PC/Mac and then perform the operation there before replacing the database back onto the NAS.

Okay so it would seem that the database repair is going to involve some extensive work. I will dig into this.

Thanks everyone.
