I haven’t found a solution yet. And Plex doesn’t comment on that either. I don’t find anything at Panasonic either. What a pity. Is very annoying when it doesn’t work. Otherwise you have to buy a TV Stick and use it plexically. But I didn’t want that.

Same problem here :frowning:
The Panasonic still plays my audio library - and the videos provided by PLEX.
But no transcoding setting works for my 220+. And if I disable transcoding, I get the “CPU” error.

Today came a Plex server update. I’ll test if it gets better.
But even the support says that the technicians read here in the forum and then supposedly fix the errors.

There was an update today? The last update I know of was from August 30th (1.28.2.6151) and brought no improvement.

Same for me, Plex Server (current version) on QNAP NAS, client on Panasonic TX-40HXW804 is not working. Other clients on other OS doing fine.

Having the same issue here too. My TV is a Panasonic TX-55FZ802B TV from 2019 with the Plex smart TV App installed.
The app can connect to the PMS on my Synology NAS (DS1515+) and displays all video metadata fine. However attempts to play videos result in the “An Unexpected Playback Problem Occurred”
Music and Photos play and display fine with no problem

I too suspected that it may be linked to the July software update from Panasonic, however going through the PMS log file I see lines as follows that makes me think maybe it’s a transcoding issue?

Beyond that I’m not sure where to go next…

I just tried Plex again, and you won’t believe it, but everything works again. Movies, series and music videos. Although there still seem to be some problems with the quality (maybe the transcoding does not work 100% yet), but at least the videos play again. What did I do? Nothing. The last update (1.29.0.6219) I installed, but already a few days ago and there it did not work yet. I’m curious to see if it will continue to work. What about you?

Hello.

I just tried, it works again. All of a sudden, everything works as before. I don’t know what happened. The nAS has not received an update. With TV, I don’t know. But it’s running again.
