I’m using Open VPN (with expressVPN) on my Synology but with it connected Plex remote access doesn’t work…no matter what I try.
Is it possible for Plex traffic to NOT use the VPN, in other words bypass it?

ExpressVPN does not support split-tunneling on Synology NAS. It is not possible to have Plex bypass the VPN.
If your NAS supports Docker, you might be able to place the VPN and everything that needs it in one container.
