This is a strange one. While looking through my plex settings, i noticed that remote access apparently isnt working. It says " Not available outside your network"
I disconnected my phone from wifi and tried watching something on 4G to mimic being away from home… and it works, albeit very bad quality. It gave a couple of errors saying things like not enough bandwidth to direct play. My logic would suggest though, that it should not work AT ALL. So thats confusing already.
Anyway, another strange thing, if I disable remote access and then enable it. Everything goes green, including all the IPs below that option, for like 4 seconds, then goes back to failed.
I have no idea what i am doing with port forwarding or anything. but i did test port 32401 on canyouseeme.org and it said Error cannot see me. I guess that means something?
I am using a Nighthawk x10 router, qnap 251+ server and of course plex.
UPnP is enabled on the router.
Any help please…
