Remote acces not working since few weeks now

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with remote access to my Plex server. Since a recent update (I think it’s related), I can no longer access my media from outside my home network. When I’m on my home Wi-Fi, everything works fine.

When I go to Settings > Remote Access, at first it says the server is accessible, but after 3–4 seconds it switches to “Not available outside your network.”

Has anyone experienced this? Any idea what could be causing it?

I’m having the exact same problem as the original poster. UPnP is already turned off on my router. Is there anything else I can do to try and fix this?

Turning on UPnP allowed to work! Is it safe to keep UPnP on though? It also seems to work by setting up manual port forwarding on my router itself.

Oh okay cool! Thanks for your response. I think it’s working now with the manual forwarding with UPnP turned off so ideally the problem is now solved.

so deactivated the UPnp didn’t fix the remote access issue. what i’m notice is strange is the IP adress. my home network is around 192.168.1.1 and i can see on plex it gave automatically private IP at 10.0.5.1 and public IP at 83.199.144.42, which both doesn’t belong to the range of IP address from my home network. also my qnap has a static ip at 192.168.1.18 :
