Hi @alexandregregoire
Just to make it more interesting, I run Linux Plex Media Server v1.19.3.2740 (Latest Beta) and the same Android version and it works great over 4G but when on WiFi as myself and 2 of my family members use remote to my server this issue also occurs, the issue has been there for a few releases now, and I’m surprised its been allowed to go on.
I wonder if @sa2000 or anyone else can shed some light on this issue?
As I said it only happens on WiFi, not 4G/Cellular Data…
The only other 2 Plex Guru’s I can think may be able to help are @sixones and @ChuckPa… Help us guys you’re our only help
The other is even if I sync the file to the Tablet it doesn’t work either, so is it a Server side issue or Android Plex issue?
Hi Alex,
Mine does, but only on some films and TV shows it just fails on.
I did try and sync one of the Family Guy Star Wars trilogy over to my Tablet last night as it doesn’t allow me to watch anymore over WiFi, and the same happens, no playback, not sure if it’s just an Android issue as other devices like Samsung TV and Roku sticks play without an hitch on everything…
It’s getting to the point again where I’m just going to throw it all in the bin…
Does your Mi Box come up with an error asking to restart the server and Android device to connect?
@alexandregregoire Hi Alex,
Try disabling secure connections in the PMS side in settings, player now works without a hitch on Linux PMS to Android devices via WiFi!!
@sixones the latest beta works on local WiFi but sadly fails when remote user using Android Phone fails miserably… Is this issue now a server issue also? I still have a series that coughs up the please restart your server and app on local WiFi also.
