Plex Android not showing video player menu for video in Photo Library

I have videos in movie libs. They are playing fine on android.
The videos in mixed libraries (photo libraries) can be started to play in the mobile app, but there is no menu shown. So we cannot pause/play, seeks, etc.
we can only go back with the android back button.
