Plex Android video crash/automated exit

Hi,
In regard of the android plex app:

I’ve switched to 3 different devices ( realme gt master, samsung note 10 plus, and now samsung fold 3 ) and for freaking sake I can not play any video properly in the plex android app. Everytime i open a video, no matter what video, no matter if its 1080p or 4k, even if i change the playback quality, the video will play for maximum 1 minute, then automatically close the video ( not the app, but the video itself gets closed ).

I do not know what to do anymore, fully reinstalled plex app ( as i switched devices i didnt expect this to solve anything ), i even reinstalled plex media server on the laptop, it is extremely extremely annoying. This issue does not happen when I’m watching those videos on the WebOS tv, or on other PCs.

Since this happen on every android device mentioned earlier, i suppose that either the android app has a major issue, either the media server is the problem. ( complete reinstall attempts did not fix, as I said ).

Android player version: 9.3.0.32977
Media server version: current latest, as 09.06.2022 ( the media server is installed on Linux, specifically Manjaro XFCE ).

Please provide some input on this, its driving me extremely nuts.

This is intentional with the mobile apps. For full playback functionality, the application requires either a one-time purchase to unlock it or for you to be a Plex Pass subscriber.

If you opt for the one-time fee, the unlock is tied to your Google Play account, so you can use it across multiple devices as long as they’re signed into the same Google Play account.

There’s more information here:

WHAT? I just cant believe this is true. I saw the warning at the beginning of the video, but thought that was referring to something else.
I really dont understand why that is intentional, going the business way makes the things so worse. Hopefully we wont see that in the future for other platforms too, as it will certainly have the opposite result of what you actually want to achieve.

Thank you in any case, for the reply…
