Running Android APK (9.16.1.38616) downloaded from the Android TV Playstore. Device is the Google Chromecast with Google TV 4K.
I cannot access the settings to change anything. The app crashes immediately upon clicking the gear icon. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have cleared data/cache. I have danced the rain dance.
Apologies, I clearly didn’t read your initial post thoroughly enough.
Since you need to be able to access settings to see the logs, I genuinely have no idea. Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable comes along and can help.
Weird not really a new account but it was dormant. If I make the changes using another account on the same HOME will it save them? Sadly I can’t se auto login for this account though if some changes can be saved…
Really weird indeed !
The only way I’ve found to switch accounts is to clear the app’s cache to force a “link” again to another account (for which the settings work)
I will try to install an “old” version of Plex app on the Chromecast, to see if I can access to the settings once connected with the problematic account …
9.17.0.38671 beta does fix the issue of the app quitting/crashing when entering settings.
I note today that 9.16.2.38798 has been released after 9.17.0.38671 beta which I would have thought would contain the above mentioned fix. However it does not contain the fix.
