Today I noticed the return of a recent problem… When I open Plex on my 2015 Shield TV, it opens the Play Store page for the Plex client. I have to click Open to actually open the app. This seems to happen most of the time… But not all of the time.
I also noticed a playback problem. I fired up a show and got an infinite black screen and a wait cursor. This file played back fine a day or two ago, presumably on the previous version of the Android TV Plex client. (When the Play store lists an update, is that the release date, or the date the update was applied?)
- Subtitles are not on.
- The file plays fine on the web client.
- If I choose “convert automatically” on the Shield Plex client, it plays fine.
