Since the new Plex interface update on my Insignia 24” Fire TV, I can no longer even find the app in the TV’s AppStore.
Is this a known issue ?
You should tag this post as “fire-tv” That way it gets seen by the right people
Check Amazon’s web site from your laptop/desktop. See if the TV shows up in the “Deliver To” list when viewing the Plex app page. If so, you should be able to push it to your TV (you’ll have to be signed in to your Amazon account on the TV as well).
If it still does not show up, try the MrMC app as a workaround. It has an integrated Plex client.
The Lite (free) version has some limitations (see MrMC Forum post). The paid version is $2.99 USD.
FYI, there is a compatibility problem with the Plex app and the Toshiba Fire TV Edition sets. Hopefully you’re not seeing the same thing. More information is available in this post.
I tried that and it isn’t even showing up in my list of Fire TV Devices. So I tried pushing it to the Cloud and them Syncing the device and still no luck.
