Plex App not reflecting Plex folder structure on Synology DS413J NAS

Hi

I run the Plex app via Windows 10 and using a Synology DS413J NAS.

I’ve created a file structure a while ago and then deleted without a problem. I’ve subsequently re-added the files in to a new library and here’s where it gets interesting…

The new files appear in the correct library structure when logging on with Windows in to Plex. When I log in via the IOS app, I see the old file structure with the new files…

I’ve also shared some of the folders with a friend, but despite me only selecting a few, they can see all of the folders, including the old folder structure with the new files in it. I hope you’re following…

I’ve tried re-installing the apps on the server, and on Windows. Still the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Did you possible install PMS on both the Windows and NAS machines with the same Friendly Name and didn’t shut one of them down so your clients are confused and looking at different servers?

Probaby. Not being a true tech I’m not sure what you ean by shutting one down…

If the older PMS was based the old structure, it would not necessarily update to reflect the new file structure. So when your clients connect, they still see the old structure. By removing that older PMS, you will only see the new PMS that is configured with the new structure.
