I have a new Hisense smart Tv, it uses the Plex app version for FireTV. On every other device I’ve used Plex on, Playlists advance to the next episode of a playlist from wherever you choose to start if selected from the Playlist page (vs selecting from Continue Watching). Also, episodes within a playlist are marked as watched (after watching).
On the FireTV app playlists only advance to the next episode of the playlists if you start at the beginning of the playlist. If you select an episode from the middle of the playlist it will play that episode but then advance to the next episode of the series, not the playlist. Playlists on the Plex FireTV app do not display any indication of whether an episode has been watched. And finally the playlist itself and the episode thumbnail are jammed down in the bottom third of the screen while the top 2/3s is empty.
