Plex app on Formuler devices not playing anything

Player Version#: 8.1.0.17967

This problem started about 3 days ago. When I try to start playing anything [An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please try restarting both the Plex Media Server and this app].

Before that Plex APP used to work beautifully without any issue.

I was able to get it to work after turning off the new player in the settings. I don’t like the old player because it limits my options in scaling the picture frame.

I did not update Plex APP in the past because updating it to the latest version available will play videos normally but then another problem appears which is buffering and transcoding with HEVC 4K content with EAC3 5.1 Audio codecs.

This problem didn’t exist on Player Version#: 8.1.0.17967. That’s why I kept it on the old version available on Formuler Market which is recommended for formuler devices. But now I can’t use the old version because nothing works with all different types of content.

I tried playing using the same account on my smartphone and smart TV it works fine with no issues.
