When launching the Plex app, I’m getting error: Uh Oh… Something’s Not Right. Sorry, that didn’t work. We are actively monitoring for issues. Try restarting the app or come back later.
I’ve tried deleting the and app re-installing, however this just keeps repeating.
Can’t get to menu to get logs.
Things done to make sure it is working
Allow network access = Yes
Ask app not to track = Tried Yes and No
Re-installed app totally = Yes
Re-booted iPad totally = Yes
This is my wife’s iPad, so rather important it works (she is going on a girls trip this coming weekend, hoping to have it working in time please Plex gods).
I restarted the server. Logged in again on ipad and notice that profiles with a pin can be used. The ones without are having this error.
My solution for now: add a pin to each profile and I’m up and running again.
still a problem sadly, perhaps it’s to do with not running the most recent iOS (these are older family devices, still running iOS 17, Plex New Exp in App Store says iOS 16 or above are supported).
Also if I have a home user, how can I get it so they login automatically. They don’t get any menus for account, hence can’t choose auto login. I don’t think this is a new issue…but would be nice to auto login the kids devices to their restricted profile.
Same here on my iPad (6th Generation). Was watching a movie via my PLEX Windows Server, paused it on the iPad and when I went back, it just crashed. Nothing I have done has helped, restarting PLEX WS, reinstalling PLEX App, running latest iPad OS for my 6th Gen. I’m pretty sure iPadOS 17.7.8 latest available for 6th Gen iPads is supported by PLEX. Hope someone can figure this one out.
Same here for last few days. Plex working fine on two desktop windows PCs and four Amazon Firesticks all connecting to apples on my local Synology NAS. It just stopped working on my iPad for no apparent reason. Have restarted and reinstalled everything including router but no joy. Incredibly frustrating. Hopefully Plex ARE monitoring and investigating and will fix it asap.
I’m having the same issue using Plex app on my iPhone 16E. The guide is mostly empty and whenever I try to get any information from the server I get this screen. I can, however, access all of my guide info from the web app and from the LG and Samsung TV apps. It’s almost like the iOS app is the issue. I’ve been having issues since the “new and improved” app was pushed to my phone.
Having the same issue with multiple iPads. Strange that we can get some to work, and then others wont with the same settings. Tried every troubleshooting tip and out of 7 iPads, I have 4 working and five that just keep giving the error.
My wife is on a girls trip, so had to send her away with Infuse rather than Plex for this issue.
Anyone from Plex care to comment at all, this is a major blocking bug that is rendering the app totally usable. Can even get to a menu to download logs.
I have ios 18.5 and plex server is 1.41.7.9823, no libraries…. Tries reversing to former version… nothing. No libraries. Can’t access anything, local on the server it self it works. Full access from the web is marked as green…. But nothing is working
Found this thread and felt I needed to post as well. I’m using an iPad (5th Generation) running iOS 16.7.11 and have installed the latest version of the Plex app and I get the exact same error when trying to sign in. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app itself and have hard reset both my iPad and restarted my Plex Server but nothing fixes it.
@Craig_Holliday@BigWheel this one is a bit nasty and seems to be impacting a few folks. Any chance you can confirm if this is on the known issues list and getting fixed.
