So Plex works FINE on my macbook chrome browser, works FINE on my laptop macbook plex app - it works FINE on my iphone 12 max pro12 (though never watch it on that) (version ios 14.8) it works FINE on an old Samsung Smart TV - so yeah - this ISNT a server issue its a “we here at Plex have gone and broken plex for ipad” issue
But randomly, pointlessly for no reason at all PLEX no longer works on my two 12.9 inch ipads - the latest model and i think the 2nd generation (both ios 14.8) It has basically stopped showing the charity 3000 item film collection (not really interested in the Woolworths Bargain basement freebie movies they offer by default)
It shows the drive or the server or whatever, but doesnt then drop down or sublist of movies, short films, TV etc etc - are completely missing. Ive reinstalled on both - NADA - Ive logged in and out NADA - Ive changed / reset the passwords - NADA this is clearly NOT the server as it works just-fine-thankyou-very-much on all th other things and places listed above
So plex is now broken on Ios then right? Where do I go for a refund.
This is especilly tiresome as we use plex for our film education charity - this nonsense has caused chaos franky. Any patient volunteers wanting to help please get in touch - but we are NOT tech heads - and when we set up plex originally it took weeks - so NOT going to fiddle with a working server at all. Nah uh. Not happening

i’m not sure if you mean when clicking on individual libraries they content does not show or it the server and libraries do not show at all to click on them.
You need to contact Apple. We don’t have any access to payment system of their store.

What i mean is - that ONLY (for some tiresome reason) on the two ipads OUR content isnt showing - OUR TV shows, OUR Films OUR short films - do not show up but the server ddoes - as already stated in the original post

If they have broken plex and it no longer works with ipad I need to know. As (also) stated abov it took WEEKS to get plex server working on the Synology NAS / DSM server - so as also stated in my email - I do not want to “fiddle” with something if there is no evidence that it no longer works with ipads. If there is a statement / proof / other users that fixed it that way - then that might be considered - but right now I dont want to possible “break” plx even more - as it works just fine of every single other platform.
If we had a tech that could walk us through the upgrade if it didnt work - that would be a different matter - but “if it aint broke - dont fix it” - so far the evidence points to the plex devs screwing things up for ipad users.
Right - well can try that as a last resort (if I can find somone to wlak us through it if it breaks the server - which IS working just fine right now - but I doubt we’ll find that help/ "Upgrade upgrade developers always shout - then they disappear when the upgrade just breaks EVERYTHING)
So in the meantime… why do both Ipad devices keep on saying “we noticed you have more than one Plex server available to you. Please select your preferred server and we’ll set up your initial home screen for you.” and YET the drop down choice is of just ONE server (tigerdrive)
None of the other devices say that - all the other pkatforms just work fine and get on with the job of “just working”
So my money is on that “WRONG statement there are two servers - when there are not two servers” as being the way to go before the usual have your tried turning it off and on / have you upgraded"
So what is that all about? If it is saying there are TWO servers, well it should SHOW me them, but it doesnt - it just contradicts itself by saying choose one of these servers - but there is only ONE choice?
So basically WTF?

Would need to see the logs to confirm but I am guessing it may see another server on local network initially but cannot fully connect. If you have “advertise as server” enabled in the iOS app on one of the devices it could be that but that is not enabled by default and you mentioned you reinstalled so not likely. Assuming don’t you have another server on network even an unclaimed one.
I would be helpful to get server logs and iOS logs. You can message them to me by clicking on my username and there will be a message button if you don’t want to post them locally.
WELL FIRSTLY- THE WEB PLEX page (sorry caps lock) doesnt do anything whn i click download on settings trouble shooting download logs - it literally doesnt do anything… sit cant be reached…

So I went to plex app for laptop, and eventually got the logs
I wont be able to access them via that URL as it is local to you and I would not have access to your server links. but we can skip that for now. Still reviewing your iOS logs.
