For a couple of years I have been happily running the Plex Media Server on my (Windows 10) Microserver. No problem there. I have 3 Samsung Smart TVS 2 x 55" and 1 X 60" which have all been happily playing movies etc. for me through the Plex App on the TVs for a couple of years with no issues whatsoever. . Yesterday I upgraded the Plex App on my Samsung 60" TV to Ver 2.012 and now the app will not open. It shows the Plex app trying to open with progress dots and then after a while returns to the previous screen on the TV. Very frustrating. I deleted the TV from my authorised devices but am now unable to add it due to the App not opening. Have tried removing the app and re-installing on the TV but no luck. Would be extremely grateful for some pointers of what to try to solve this. Its the first real problem I’ve had with Plex which up until now I’ve found an excellent piece of software.
Just to add my 2 55" TVs are running ver 2.009 and I’m apprehensive about upgrading them incase I hit the same issues.
Reinstalled, and restarted EVERYTHING. It is now working fine.
I had the same problem …I reinstalled everything 2 or 3 times and still nothing, I cancelled my subsription Just Not worth it anymore. I got NO help from PLEX
